About me
I’m Saša, a Zagreb-based electronics technician turned creative 3D modeler, and I built OrangeCube3D from the ground up—starting with Fusion360 tutorials during traffic jams on my old commute.
I’ve always been DIY-oriented, with a background in electronics, car tuning, and high-end audio. The moment I discovered 3D printing, it just clicked: here was a technology that could turn all those hands-on skills into something new, practical, and creative. If I’d had a 3D printer back in my car-audio days, I’d have saved months of fiberglass work.
My interests quickly expanded from technical problem-solving to the artistic side of model making and tabletop gaming. Early collaborations on Kickstarter projects and custom model painting proved this could be more than a hobby. After those projects took off, I left my full-time job and turned my focus to building OrangeCube3D into a business that blends technical precision with artistic finishing.
Lessons Learned (The Hard Way)
Like any real business, there have been disasters—usually when I tried too hard to please clients with unrealistic expectations. I’ve learned to be blunt: if I can’t guarantee top quality, I’ll say no. That’s better for the client and for me.
How I Work
What I Want Clients to Know
You don’t need to be an expert in 3D printing—that’s my job. I’ll handle the technical side and guide you through the process, so your idea comes out better than you imagined.
What’s Next for OrangeCube3D?
In the next three years, I see a bigger workshop, a small team, and an expanded print farm (plus lasers—why not?). I want OrangeCube3D to be the go-to studio in Zagreb for creative, high-value projects—whether that’s a batch of branded keychains for a business, a scale model for an architect, or a one-of-a-kind award.
Most of all, I want every client to walk away happy, knowing they got more than they paid for—and to tell others the same.
Personal Touch / Gratitude
Huge thanks to my family for their patience during late-night learning sprees, printer repairs, and endless trial-and-error. None of this would exist without their support.
